Two law enforcement vehicles were hit by a suspected drunk driver on Interstate 40 early Sunday morning.

Yukon police officers and the Canadian County Sheriff's Office were assisting Oklahoma Highway Patrol with a call on I-40 eastbound near Cimarron Road, which blocked the outside lane of the interstate, when a woman crashed into the scene. This happened around 3:30 a.m.

The driver hit a unit from the Yukon Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The Yukon officer wasn't injured, but the trooper was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was shortly released.

The woman who crashed into the units was arrested on a complaint of driving under the influence.
