HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A two vehicle collision on Mechanic Road near North Bunn Road on Wednesday afternoon sent both drivers to the Hillsdale Community Health Center.

The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at 3:55 p.m..

They say their investigation of the crash showed that 21-year-old Remi Lyon of Allen was traveling east on Mechanic Road in a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu when 43-year-old Samantha Bible of Pioneer, Ohio turn east off of North Bunn Road in a 1993 Mitsubishi 4S and collided with the driver’s side of Lyon’s vehicle.

The vehicles came to a stop in the middle of the roadway. The Sheriff’s Office says failing to observe the road in both directions appears to be the factor in the crash.

Both drivers were transport by Reading Emergency Units with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office were assisted by the Hillsdale Rural Fire Department, the Reading Emergency Unit as well as Hillsdale Tow.
