After years of turmoil, new-car sales are settling back into normalcy, and some new models snuck onto the list of bestsellers through the first three quarters of 2024.

In America, when compact cars are posting big increases and many SUV models are down, you have to wonder if we're living in the upside down. But in truth, new-car sales are finally settling back into normalcy after years of supply-chain issues. Prices are still high, but inventories are back at typical levels, which should benefit shoppers. Here we're ranking the 25 bestselling new cars sold in America through the first three quarters of 2024. You'll find several models on this list that haven't appeared in the top 25 before, and we'll be updating this ranking when sales are released every quarter to see how things continue to shake out.

The HR-V is the CR-V's little sibling, and it's becoming one of Honda's core models in terms of sales volume. Sales were up 32 percent through the first three quarters of the year.
